Four Day Fly Fishing Tour In Tasmania

With a huge variety of fly fishing opportunities around Tasmania, you will experience picturesque wilderness settings in a range of lakes, lagoons, rivers and streams.

From the famous mayfly lakes of the Central Highlands, to the serenity of meandering lowland streams, learn more about the different techniques we use and how we adapt to the ever changing weather patterns to maximize your fly fishing success.

Staying at a highland lodge overlooking the vast expanses of Great Lake, you will enjoy comfortable rooms, evening meals and drinks featuring local produce next to open log fires and some great hospitality to prepare you for more fly fishing action.

Your package includes transport to and from Hobart or Miena, all fishing gear, daily lunch and refreshments, three nights of accommodation with breakfast and dinners, access to private fishing locations, and guidance from accredited TGALT fly fishing guides.

Day 1

• Pick up from your accommodation in Hobart at 7.30am and depart for Miena with your guide (approx. 1.5-hour drive) or meet in Miena at 9am.
• Fishing at our privately accessed lake, Herne Lagoon, for a day to settle into the fishing and enjoy a freshly cooked lunch next to an open fire.
• Check In to your accommodation at the end of the day’s fishing for a warm shower, hearty meal and cold beer.

Day 2 – 3

• Pick up from your accommodation at 8.30am each day to fish a range of lakes and rivers, exploring different areas and techniques along the way.
• Returning to your accommodation each afternoon to rejuvenate for the next day’s adventures.

Day 4

• Check out of your accommodation before pick up, completing your last day’s fishing at a lake nearby.
• Return back to Hobart with your guide at the end of the day’s fishing, or continue your travels from Miena.
