A single day on Tasmania's lowland rivers is a different experience to the highland lakes.

These are intimate, tree-lined waters where you move on foot, read each pool and run as you go, and cast to individual trout feeding in clear, shallow water. One day is enough to understand why river fishing here earns its reputation.

Day trips depart from Hobart and focus on the spring-fed rivers and meadow streams of southern and central Tasmania. They work well alongside time in Hobart, or as a standalone day for visiting anglers who want a genuine Tasmanian river experience. All guiding, transport, gear and a chef-prepared riverside lunch are included.
